Let us play

Well it was like a seventies Bedroom Farce at the Swan last night, due to our band of players running from room to room trying to find a quiet place to play. We eventually ended up in the room we started in, after chatting with the remaining couple about their views on our playing some music. They said it was fine as they were not stopping anyway. Hope we didn’t spoil their night.

Only four players tonight, joined by Mandy who was not playing due to a heavy workload. We also had additional songs from Stewart who remains a bit of an enigma to me as I don’t know his surname or where he hails from, but he joins in with the pub guitar when he is in the mood or maybe when the drink puts him in the mood.

Brian and Kath absent which was due to Brian experiencing what they call ‘squeaky bum time’ watching Bradford city playing and actually winning on Penalties.

Well onto the music, Graeme offered me to blog, but kindly took down the song names on his trusty iPad.

The First Thing This Morning (Gary nun / Cisel Acklin)

I Don’t Remember Loving You (Harlan Howard) I first thought this must be about someone refusing responsibility for a child after an affair. It seems it was about someone driven crazy by a woman and her infidelities. (Scary)
