Well we have had a senior moment this week, for those that attended our excellent session last week, will be aware I wrote the notes in my iPhone. On Monday night I used them as the base for the blog and spent over an hour writing the blog. I then highlighted the blog and prepared to copy and paste it into the site when I realised that I had left the old notes at the bottom of the blog, I then clicked back space not realising it doubles as delete and guess what......................Yep it went into the ether. Now being computer literate, I immediately googled for " how do you help an old git who has pressed the wrong bloody button" The answer came back in nano seconds, download this software for your device, switch phone to aircraft mode, connect to computer and disable iTunes. Then all you have to do is select the particular item you wish to recover I.e Notes, deleted items and recover said item. Simples!
All the above actions were carried out to no avail apparently error code 105 was enough to prevent me from fulfilling my quest. Deciding The reason for all this was tiredness, I put everything away and went to bed to try again tomorrow.
Tuesday evening saw me fully refreshed and ready to hook everything up! Error 105....Again! Right google tells me error 105 means my start up disc has not enough space to run a full back up. RIGHT! So file scan run and uneccessary files deleted and start again. SUCCESS! The file ran and no error message this time but no file could be found?
Here is where I bring out the big guns! A face time call to my son in Malta (who by the way was sunning himself with his girl friends in the beach and was really happy to speak to me about computers) -not! After interrogating me to ascertain my actions from the start he took great delight in informing me , that not saving it meant it was gone forever! Ah well lesson learnt! The list of muso's whose pictures appear below were in attendance and they performed three songs each. My sincere apologies for this mess Brian, Larry, Phil, Martin, Graeme, Rob Jones, James, Pam, Stuart, Barry and last but certainly not least Uton
